  4. Duty of the position:
    1)Conduct research on paleoenvironment, paleoclimate, and human impacts in estuaries and coastal lagoons based on analyses of sediments and/or geomorphology
  5. Employment period: From the first work day after 1 December 2019 to 31 March 2020.
    This position may be extended up to a maximum of three years based on annual evaluations.

  7. Compensation:
    (1) Based on the “Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Shimane, University Academic Staff Subject to Annual Salary System”.
    (2) Discretionary labor system for special work type based on the “Regulations Pertaining to Working Hours, Holidays and Leave for National University Corporation Shimane University Staff”.
    (3) Successful candidate will join the National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Association, Employment insurance, and Workers’ Accident Compensation Insurance.
  8. Qualifications:
    (1)Those who possess a doctorate degree, or who expect to receive a doctorate degree prior to employment, in the relevant specialized fields of paleontology, sedimentology, or paleoenvironmental science;
    (2) Those who have adequate knowledge and skills in the field of paleoenvironmental research;
    (3) Those who have significant research achievements or practical experience in the field of paleoenvironmental research;

    (2)Research achievement list divided into (a) peer-reviewed papers, (b) non-peer-reviewed papers, (c) book or book chapters, (d) published literature reviews, (e) proceedings papers in international conference publications (classified as with or without peer review), (f) invited lectures in international conferences, (g) academic awards, (h) research grants awarded as a principal investigator and (i) other.
    (3)Offprints or copies of all peer-reviewed papers.
    (4)Summary of recent research achievements, and a detailed description of your research plan after being recruited (limited to 1,000 words in total).
    (5)A description of your broader, long-term, research aspirations (limited to 500 words).
